Busy, Busy Year

It has been such a long time writing anything on the blog. We have had a beyond crazy year. This post will be short, but at least those of you who read this will get to see our new addition to our family.We had been trying to adopt since Carter was about 10 months old. We finally go the call 6 months ago for this little cutie. It was a whirlwind. We took 4 trips to Napa, CA in 2 month and the finally brought her home in June. She just turned 1 this weekend. Her name is Berkeley. Carter is so excited to have her in our family, as are we. She has adjusted very well. We're just now crazy busy!! I'll write more about the entire story a little later, but just wanted to get some pics out there now! xoxo

First Day of 3rd Grade

8 is great!!

Yesterday, Carter and his two cousins were baptized. He and his two cousins are 2 weeks apart in age and it just kind of worked out that they were all baptized on the same day. It was such a special day and so incredibly awesome to share it with all of our family. We are so proud of his decision (and it was all his decision). He is so very proud of his new suit too and I think he looks so handsome:) He was confirmed a member of the church tonight in our home (due to conflicting meeting schedules) and it was a very special experience. We can't believe he's old enough to be baptized, but we truly couldn't be prouder!! We sure do love all 3 of these boys!!

Fall pictures

 I hate school pictures, so I decided to have a friend of mine take Carter's pictures. The location was changed at the last minute because of the weather. I don't love the background, but they turned out really cute despite the yellow wall:)

 Carter love to dance, loves music, and loves to look cool! He wanted this hat so badly. He really wanted to wear black skinny jeans with this, but they weren't clean! LOL

 I was so happy he wanted to cut his hair this year. Daddy took him the morning of the pictures and it was cut a little shorter than I prefer, but it's so much easier to do. He has the craziest hair imaginable!! You'd think he was my kid or something! Ha ha;);)

 We're pretty sure he's one of the cutest kids ever and we can say that because it has nothing to do with us!!

Oh, how I remember my two front teeth growing in! Not the prettiest thing in the world, but he's still adorable! We so love this boy more than anything in the world!

2nd Grade

I can't believe I haven't updated our blog for 6 months!! Shame on me:(

 First day of 2nd grade! He was so excited. He has an amazing teacher this year.

 He got to choose where to sit. He chose right in front by the teacher. I kind of laughed because that is where he would probably end up anyway;)

This is the first year they get to sit on balls. It takes an amazing teacher to stay focused while kids are moving around, but it has made a HUGE difference. So cool that they have a place for all their energy to go and so cool that we have a school awesome enough to try new things!! Love it!
