T-Ball

 T-BALL
Carter played t-ball for the first time this year. The team he played on was the Yankees. He played with a lot of his buddies from school. They were incredibly well-coached and all in all he loved it.

On opening day they had all the teams run out onto the field, so the announcers could introduce them. Carter looks like such a little man. I didn't even recognize him.
It doesn't help that he likes to wear his hat really low:)

Cute boy!! I just love this kid so much!

Hanging with his buddies before the game.

First time ever up to bat at a game. We play ball a lot, but we always pitch the ball. Scott played baseball and I played softball, but neither of us were ever taught using a tee. So, there was a bit of a learning curve for the whole family.

 He got a hit!

Made it to first. There was a lot of teaching the kids what to do and where to run. The games were anything but quick. They improved so much by the end of the season.

Third base and again being told what to do next. I love the look on his face. It's so Carter!

Now he's an expert and coaching the other kids home. His cute little man face. He's always looked like a little man. He looked just like this as a baby. People used to stop me and tell me how my baby looked like a "little old man." LOL

Playing catcher. This was a hard position to teach and such a hard one for a little guy to do. He did great! His favorite position was first base or short stop. He really hated the outfield because he never got the ball. Apparently, six year olds can't hit that far. Who knew? Ha ha!

I think we have a future baseball player on our hands. Carter was a great hitter and the kid has a seriously strong and accurate arm. This was a much better experience than soccer. I think a lot had to do with the coaching. So, a big thank you to all who helped!

Spring Skiing

 SPRING SKIING!
I love seeing Carter ski. I have such fond memories of growing up skiing every weekend and I love to be able to share that with him.

Grandpa Steve is an amazing skier and an amazing teacher. He is so incredibly patient with Carter. He has also been a fantastic teacher to my disabled brother, Clint. Grandpa Steve has helped Clint get into a ski program for disabled people and it has done wonders for his self-confidence.

Cute Carter getting ready to ski.

Heading to the ski lift. Carter gets frustrated very easily, Grandpa Steve gets behind him and lets him go really fast to help ease the frustration.

 Trying so hard!!

 After a hot chocolate break!

 All smiles!!

 Getting pretty independent!

More pics! Love his determined little face!
All in all a great day!!

Grandma's House

 GRANDMA'S HOUSE!!!
We spent Spring Break at Grandma Niecey's house in Utah. Carter LOVES going to both of his grandma's. They both have lots of land and lots of farm work to be done.

Carter and Daddy were out riding around and stopped long enough to get a picture.

The orchard next to Grandma's house has lots of deer this year. They come over to eat all the hay and then go back to the orchard for some privacy.

Grandma bought Carter a new mountain bike to keep at her house. They were able to go on long bike rides together. He loved it!

Lovin' his new bike. I'm not sure who is letting him ride without a helmet??? Oregon has a very strict helmet law, but Utah doesn't have one and Carter is very aware of that.

The view from Grandma's house. Never get tired of looking at this.
